Coronation Photos

Some photos from our vantage point at the top of Northumberland Avenue across from the statue of Charles I and with a good view towards Admiralty Arch. The very vocal "Not My King" were to the right of us and, because our spot on the traffic island was slightly elevated, we stayed dry from the rivulets of rainwater running past and were afforded an excellent view of the events. As the processions needed to turn upon coming out of (or into) the Arch, we were able to see them from different sides as well. We took the first DLR train of the morning at 5:33am and were at Embankment Station by 6am. It was therefore a long, and definitely damp, day, but well worth it to witness such an important event. Definitely an experience!
